Heartfelt Creations - The Last Two Christmas Cards

I'm sad that the summer is coming to an end, but I do love the fall. Next week my blog will be all about that beautiful season.

Today it's all about Christmas. lol. I have two cards to share.

My first card 'Joy, Peace and Happiness' stars the beautiful Holiday Snowflake Frame and the beautiful Festive Poinsettia.





Instructions: Card size is 7 1/2 x 5 1/2”. Cut white cardstock to 11 x 5 1/2”. Score and fold at 5 1/2” on the long side to create card base. Cut Luxe Gold Cardstock 7 3/8 x 5 3/8” and adhere to card base using dries clear adhesive. Cut white cardstock 7 1/4 x 5 1/4” and adhere to gold cardstock. Using the largest die from the Holiday Snowflake Frame Die, cut 2x, once from white cardstock and once from Luxe Gold cardstock. Adhere the two together, slightly offsetting, and adhere to the card base using dimensional tape. Diecut the smaller frame 2x, once from gold cardstock and once from white cardstock, from the same set using the second and third largest dies. Adhere together, slightly offsetting, and adhere to the card base as shown. Using the fourth and fifth dies from the same set, cut a frame from Luxe Gold cardstock. Using the fifth die, cut from white cardstock. Stamp the sentiment ‘Merry Christmas’ from the Candlelit Poinsettia Cling Stamp set using Versamak ink, sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Adhere the two pieces to the card front using dimensional adhesive tape.

For the inside of the card, cut Luxe gold cardstock 7 3/8 x 5/38” and adhere. Cut the largest Holiday Snowflake Frame from white cardstock and adhere to the gold cardstock. Using the fourth largest Snowflake frame, cut from Luxe Gold cardstock. Using the fifth largest die, cut from white cardstock. Adhere the two together and adhere to the inside of the card. Using the Cut Mat Create small square die cut the sentiment from the Festive Poinsettia Paper Collection, ink the edges using Archival Olive and adhere.

Stamp the largest Small Festive Poinsettia 2x on red pearl metallic cardstock using VersaMark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Stamp the Small Festive Poinsettia Leaves 2x and the holly leaves from the Large Festive Poinsettia on green pearl metallic cardstock using VersaMark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Stamp the large flourish from the Holly Berry Cling Stamp Set on Luxe Gold Cardstock using VersaMark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Diecut all using the coordinating dies. Shape the poinsettias and leaves in the Small 3D Poinsettia Shaping Mold, shape the large holly leaves in the Large 3D Poinsettia Shaping Mold and shape the flourish using the Deluxe Flower shaping Kit. Pierce the center of the poinsettia flowers using the Groove Golf Tool and insert the stamens, adhere the two flowers together using hot glue making sure to offset them. Adhere the Holly Berry flourish, the poinsettia and the leaves to the left side of the card using hot glue as shown.

Diecut two of the large snowflakes from the Holiday Snowflake Frame Die, sponge with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Ultrafine Transparent glitter. Add the snowflakes as shown using hot glue.

My second card 'Leafy Framed Christmas Scene' stars the Home for the Holidays Collection and that amazing truck, along with the Frame A Card Leafy Border.




Instructions: Card size is 6 x 5”. Cut white cardstock to 10 x 6”, score and fold at 5” on the long side. Cut paper from the Festive Poinsettia Paper Collection, Sheet 11B, to 5 7/8 x 4 7/8” and adhere to the card front. Cut plaid paper from the same collection, Sheet 11A, 5 7/8 x 4 7/8”, ink the edges using Archival Olive ink and adhere to the inside of the card. Cut a border strip from the same collection Sheet 1A and adhere to the bottom of the inside. Stamp ‘Happy Holidays’ from the Festive Winterscapes Cling Stamp Set on 4 x 3” white cardstock using Real Red Ink, punch the corners using snowflake punch and adhere to the inside of the card.

Stamp the image with the back of the truck, the dog and the snowman from the Home for the Holidays Cling Stamp set 2x on Strathmore Bristol Vellum Cardstock using Jet Black Archival ink. Color everything except the truck on one scene and just the truck on the second scene using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers Carmine Red, Wine Red, Yellow, May Green, Deep Green, and Light Gray. Diecut the full scene using the coordinating die and diecut again from plain white cardstock. Adhere the two together to create a strong base. Diecut the colored truck from the second scene using the coordinating dies. Cut the truck 4x more and adhere together. Spritz all the diecuts with Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray-Sparkle and let dry. To create the snow effect, add dries white glue and ultrafine transparent glitter. Adhere the truck and then adhere the whole scene to the center of the card base.

Using the 6” and 5” outside dies from the Leafy Borders Frame a Card Dies, cut 2x each from the green Festive Poinsettia Paper Collection, Sheet 8B. Using the same dies and the inside decorative dies, cut 2x each from white cardstock. Sponge with dries clear adhesive and cover with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent glitter. When dry, adhere the white diecuts to the green diecuts and then adhere to the card front using double thick dimensional tape.

Using the Bow-It-All, make a multiloop bow from thin red satin ribbon and adhere to the front of the card using a hot glue gun.
