Heartfelt Creations - Glistening Snow

 Hi and Welcome!

I can't believe that this is the last Wednesday in August. 

Where oh where has the summer gone?


I just love making cards with the snowglobe and this one

is so simple.

Instructions: Card size is 5 x 4 1/2”. Score and fold 11 x 5 1/2” blue metallic cardstock at 5 1/2”. Diecut using largest die from the Festive Snowglobe Die to create shaped card base. Diecut one more time from the blue metallic cardstock and adhere to card front. Diecut again from paper from the Festive Winterscapes Paper Collection, ink the edges with cobalt blue, stamp Merry Christmas from the Festive Winterscapes Cling Stamp Set and adhere to the inside of the card. Diecut snowgloble 9 times from blue metallic cardstock using the outer die and the large circle die. Cut one more time from Luxe Silver Cardstock and diecut the decorative die from silver. Adhere all but the silver layers together and adhere to the card base. Diecut the snowglobe again from acetate and adhere that to the silver snowglobe. Cut a blue circle from the blue metallic cardstock using the largest circle die from the Festive Snowglobe and dry emboss using a snowflake embossing folder. Lightly sponge the embossed snowflakes with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with glitter.


Stamp the Christmas tree from the Woodsy Winterscapes Cling Stamp Set 2x, the deer 1x and the shooting star from the Starry Night Winterscapes Cling Stamp Set 1x on pearl white metallic cardstock using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Glitter, heat set using the Heat It Tool and diecut using the coordinating dies. Add a little of the cobalt blue ink here and there on the images and adhere them to the embossed circle. Adhere the circle inside the snowglobe using dries clear adhesive, add some blue gala glitz and confetti snowflakes. Adhere the silver diecut snow globe with the acetate to the top of the blue diecut snowglobe to create shaker. Adhere the decorative diecut.


Stamp the Christmas Poinsettias and Holly leaves on Pearl White Metallic Cardstock using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Add a little cobalt blue ink to the centers of the poinsettias and holly leaves, diecut and shape using the 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Press down in the centers of the flowers using the stylus and adhere two flowers together making sure to offset them. Add glue to the centers of the flowers and add Blue Gala Glitz.


Adhere the poinsettias to the left side of the snowglobe using hot glue.

Heartfelt Creations - Shadow Box Poinsettias

Today's card is a shadow box card highlighting the Festive Winterscapes Collection along with the beautiful Christmas Poinsettias. I just love the colors of this collection.

Instructions: Card size is 5 x 7”. Score and fold 10 x 7” Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper at 5” on the long side. Cut Luxe Silver Cardstock 4 7/8 x 6 7/8” and adhere to card base. Cut two pieces of blue paper from the Festive Winterscapes Paper Collection 4 3/4 x 6 3/4”, ink the edges with Archival Cobalt Blue ink and adhere one piece to the inside of the card and one piece to the front of the card base. Stamp the sentiment inside the card from the Noel Sentiments Stamp set using cobalt blue ink.


Create a 5 x 5” shadow box. Score a 7 x 11 1/2” piece of Deluxe flower Shaping Paper on the short side at 1/2”, 1”, 6” and 6 1/2”. Score both sides on the long side at 1/2”, 1”, 6” and 6 1/2”. Trim the right top and bottom score lines off up to the first vertical score line, use scissor to cut tabs. Use the Cut Mat Create Die to cut the aperture in the front of the box. Cut blue paper from the paper collection x2 4 7/8 x 4 7/8”, x4 3/8 x 4 7/8” and ink the edges with cobalt blue. Use the Cut Mat Create 2A die to cut the aperture in one of the 4 7/8 x 4 7/8” pieces for the front of the shadow box. Adhere the papers to the box prior to assembling. Cut one of the scenes from the 6 x 6” card panels from the paper collection and adhere to a piece of silver cardstock and adhere inside the box. Use a paint brush to add dries clear glue to the scene and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Finish folding at all score lines and adhere to form the shadow box. Randomly add glitter to the paper on the outside of the box.


Stamp the Christmas tree, the lamppost, the carolers, the dog and the wreath on watercolor paper. Stamp the tree and the wreath with Archival Olive and the carolers, dog and lamppost with Archival Watering Can ink. Color the tree using Bamboo leaves ink, color the other images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, Carmine Red, Green, Yellow, Beige, Blue and Gray. Brush all images with Wink of Stella. Adhere inside the shadow box using dimensional dots.


Stamp the Christmas Poinsettias and Holly leaves on Pearl White Metallic Cardstock using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Add a little cobalt blue ink to the centers of the poinsettias and holly leaves, diecut and shape using the 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Press down in the centers of the flowers using the stylus and adhere two flowers together making sure to offset them. Add glue to the centers of the flowers and add Blue Gala Glitz.


Using the largest Ticket and Tags Die, cut two tags from silver cardstock. Using the next size die, cut paper from the collection, ink the edges and adhere to silver tag. Cut reinforcements from silver cardstock and adhere to the tag. Add silver ribbon to each tag and adhere the tags to the right side of card base. Adhere shadow box on the left side of the base. Cut the decorative Ornament tag and the Starry Night Border from Luxe Silver Cardstock, trim the Starry Night Border diecut to fit on the inside top of the aperture.


Adhere the decorative tag diecut to the top of the shadow box. Stamp the Merry Christmas on blue designer paper using VersaMark, cover with WOW Metallic Silver Sparkle Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Cut with the inside die, ink the edges and adhere to decorative tag.


Adhere the poinsettias and holly leaves to the left and bottom of the shadow box and adhere one on the right side as pictured. Add a silver bow.

Instructions: Card size is 5 x 4 1/2”. Score and fold 11 x 5 1/2” blue metallic cardstock at 5 1/2”. Diecut using largest die from the Festive Snowglobe Die, to create shaped card base. Diecut one more time from the blue metallic cardstock and adhere to card front. Cut 9 times from blue metallic cardstock using the outer die and the large circle die. Dry emboss one layer using any embossing folder. Adhere all but the embossed layers together and adhere to the card base. Diecut the snowglobe again from acetate and adhere that to the back of the embossed snowglobe. Cut a blue circle from the Festive Winterscapes Paper Collection using the largest circle die from the Festive Snowglobe. 


Stamp the images from Festive Winterscapes Cling Stamp set using Coffee Archival Ink and Olive archival ink and color using Bamboo Leaves ink and the zig markers: Carmine Red, Deep Green, Dark Brown, Beige and Yellow. Apply dries white glue to the snowy areas and sprinkle with Crystal Ultralfine Transparent Glitter. Cut the designer blue circle in half and adhere to the top part of the circle on the card base. Cut a circle from white glitter paper, cut in half and adhere to the bottom of the circle. Adhere the stamped images as pictured. Add more white glue and glitter as needed. Paint the stamped images with Wink of Stella for more sparkle.


Add White Gala Glitz to the inside of the circle and then adhere the embossed snow globe layer with the attached acetate using dries clear adhesive. Stamp the poinsettias and holly leaves on pearl white metallic cardstock using VersaMark. Sprinkle with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter, heat set using the Heat It Tool and color using Archival Ink Red Carnation for the poinsettias and Archival Ink Olive for the holly leaves. Diecut with the coordinating dies and shape using the Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Sponge with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with glitter. Add Crystal Drops Gloss White to the flower centers and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Diecut the Snowglobe decorative accent from white glitter paper and adhere to the bottom of the snow globe.


Adhere the poinsettias and holly leaves to the left side of the snowglobe using hot glue and adhere one poinsettia with holly leaves to the decorative accent. Tie a bow using red and white satin cord and adhere.

Heartfelt Creations - Red and Green for Christmas

Today's card features the Snowy Pines Collection for the last time as next week we

Instructions: Card size is 5 x 7”. Cut Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper 10 x 7”. Score and fold at 5” and diecut using the outer die from Decorative Circle Frames Die. Position the die just over the fold to create the shaped card base. Cut a second piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper and adhere to the card base. Diecut two pieces of the Snowy Pines Paper collection, sheet 6A for the front and sheet 4B for the inside, using the same die. Ink the edges using Archival Olive ink and adhere one to the card front, trim the top edge of the second one and adhere to the inside of the card. Cut the ‘warm holiday wishes’ sentiment panel from the paper collection, ink the edges with Olive and adhere to the inside of the card.


Using the decorative die from the same set, diecut from Luxe Gold Cardstock and adhere to the card front using dries clear adhesive. Using the largest from the Large Circle Dies, cut a circle from the same designer paper sheet 6A, ink the edges with Olive ink and adhere to the card front. Die cut the largest eyelet die from the Decorative Circle Frames Die and adhere to the card front using dimensional dots. Using the second largest plain die from the Small Circles Die set, cut the center of the card panel on sheet 2A. Ink the edges and adhere to the front using dries clear adhesive.


Stamp Poinsettias on real red cardstock using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using Heat It Tool. Stamp holly leaves on garden green cardstock using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using Heat It Tool. Diecut using coordinating dies and shape using the 3D Poinsettia Shaping Mold. Adhere two of the poinsettia flowers together to create one flower, being sure to off-set. Adhere poinsettia and holly leaves to the card base using hot glue. Add dries clear adhesive to the poinsettia centers and add gold gala glitz.     


Adhere the poinsettia to the card front using hot glue. Use Wink of Stella on the cardinals, snow, pinecones and berries to add some sparkle. Add a bow made from red and green satin cord.
