Heartfelt Creations - Bordering Vellum

Hi and welcome!

The tag I created for today came out so pretty but it didn't photograph well.
I think it's because of all the vellum.
I did have a lot of fun creating it though...I love working with Rajni's new Flowerite Vellum.

Instructions: Tag is 6 x 5”. Using the largest tag die from the Album Tags and Accent Die, cut through two pieces of white cardstock so you have two tags. Adhere these together using dries clear glue to form a strong base for the tag. Using the same die, cut two pieces of the Patchwork Daisy paper collection. Adhere one piece to the front of the white tag, ink the edges of the second piece and adhere to the back of the tag. Using the two largest dies, cut a border from white cardstock, sponge with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter. Set aside to dry.

Diecut vellum from the same die, stamp the border from thePatchwork Daisy Border Cling Stamp Set using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It tool. Color the flowers and leaves using Magenta Hue, Majestic Violet, Forget-Me-Not and Vivid Chartreuse Archival inks and Stack and Store Daubers. Diecut using the coordinating die, shape lightly using the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit. Stamp, color, diecut and shape the two flourishes from the same stamp set in the same manor and add a Swarovski crystal to each of the little flower centers on one of the flourishes.  Apply dries clear adhesive to the edges of the vellum border diecut and adhere to the tag.

Using the Buttons and Blooms Cling Stamp set, stamp the flowers and the buttons on vellum using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It tool. Color the flowers and buttons using Magenta Hue, Majestic Violet, Forget-Me-Not and Vivid Chartreuse Archival inks and Stack and Store Daubers. Diecut using the coordinating die and shape using the groove golf tool set. See Emma Lou’s video here to learn how to shape them.
Adhere two petals together, making sure to offset, to create the flowers. Using a dimensional dot, add buttons to the flower centers. Adhere the flowers to the border as shown. Adhere the floral flourish with the crystals to the tag as shown. Cut apart the second floral flourish and a small flower to the border and some leaves at the top.

Stamp the arrow from the Hand-stitched Accents Cling Stamp Set on vellum using VersaMark, sprinkle with WOW Royal Crush Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It tool. Stamp the sentiment in the same manner, heat set and diecut the arrow using the coordinating die. Shape slightly with your fingers and adhere to the tag as shown. Using a Crop-A-Dile make a hole in the tag, add an eyelet and a ribbon.
Die cut a pocket from white cardstock using the Ornate Borders and Pockets Die, sponge with dries clear adhesive and completely cover with Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitter and when dry, adhere to the back of the tag at the bottom.  Adhere a section of the floral flourish to the top of the tag as shown. Diecut a tag from the paper collection using the Tickets and Tags Die, sponge the edges, Stamp the sentiment using Majestic Violet ink and add glitter to the design.  Diecut a mat from white cardstock using the same die set and adhere the tag to the mat. Punch a hole in the top and add ribbon.

Hand write a message on the back of the small tag and place it in the pocket.

Hi and Welcome!

Its another gorgeous release from the greatest company on this planet!

The Patchwork Daisy Collection is so beautiful!

Reminisce of days gone by when laughter filled quilting bees were a treasured outing filled with chatter, decadent dainties and a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day! Little girls admiring beautiful hand-stitched quilts coming together under the direction of the hands of skillful seamstresses, as they imagine the day that they too will learn the secrets of perfect stitching and delicate embroidery. Let your mind wander back the days when pretty hand-stitched blankets lined Grandma’s clothes line, flapping in the breeze as daisies danced gently in the background! Join us as we remember simpler times with the old fashioned Patchwork Daisy Collection! Immerse yourself in designer papers filled with soft and gentle hues reminiscent of purple lavender filled fields, warm sunshine yellows, clear sky blues, and beautiful wildflower pinks. Feel the gentle warmth of a hand stitched quilt as you are embraced by dainty illustrations of tranquil florals, decorative patterns and delicate patchwork panels similar to those on Grandma’s finest coverlet! A wonderful array of beautifully detailed cling stamps, along with coordinating dies provide endless “embroidered and quilted” embellishments to adorn all of your handcrafted projects…from dainty daisy florals delicately illustrated, appearing to have been cut from decorative quilt blocks and then hand-stitched, to a wonderful assortment of graceful eyelet trim borders perfectly designed for “finishing” your handcrafted projects! The perfect assembling of decorative papers, clings stamps and coordinating dies to blend with the previously released Buttons and Blooms Collection! So, gather your crafty friends around the kitchen table…it’s time to laugh, snack, reminisce, and show off your creative handiwork!

I'm quite happy with the card I created for this release and

Card size is 6 1/4 x 6 1/2”. See the Center Step Card tutorial from Splitcoaststampers here. I just changed the measurements to fit my card. Cut white cardstock to 11 x 6”.  Line cardstock up in paper trimmer so that the edge of the card is at the 3/4” mark. Position the cutting blade at 3/4" and cut from 3/4" to 6 1/4". Line cardstock up in paper trimmer again so that the edge of the card is at the 1" mark. Position the cutting blade at 3/4" and cut from 3/4" to 6/1/4". Flip card over and do the same on the other side. Use the scissor or the paper trimmer to cut out the 1/4" strip. Place cardstock onto scoring tool and score along the long side of the card from the edge to the cut line at 3/4", 1 1/2" and 6 1/4". Flip card over and do the same on the other side. Score between cut lines at 5 1/2". Make the folds following the tutorial.

Using the fourth largest die from the Eyelet Rectangle and Basics Die, diecut white cardstock. Using the same die, diecut the designer paper. Adhere these together using dries clear adhesive and adhere to the center of the step card.  Diecut a stitched border from white cardstock using the two large dies from the Hand-stitched Accents Die set and adhere as shown.

Using the Tickets and Tags Die set, diecut the long eyelet die four times from white cardstock. Use the long plain die to diecut the designer paper three times. Ink the edges of the designer paper strips and adhere to the eyelet diecuts. Adhere one to the bottom of the step card as shown. Trim the other two to 5” and adhere to the two sides of the card.

Trim the fourth eyelet diecut to 3 1/4” and adhere to the card base as shown. Stamp the sentiment from Celebrate Love Sentiments on white cardstock using Cobalt Blue Ink. Diecut using the long plain die from the Tickets and Tags Die, trim to fit the eyelet diecut and adhere using dimensional tape.

Stamp the buttons on white cardstock using and Cobalt ink, diecut using the coordinating die and spray with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Stamp the yellow blooms on yellow cardstock using Archival Sunflower ink. Diecut using the coordinating die and shape using the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit. Use two petals for each flower except for the small flower on the sentiment. Add the diecut buttons to the flower centers using dimensional dots. Spray the flowers with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz and let dry.

Stamp the Leafy Accents leaves on white cardstock using Archival Olive ink, color with the same ink and a little Berrylicious ink, diecut using the coordinating dies and shape using the Leafy Accents Mold. Spray with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz and let dry. Sponge with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear glitter.
