Heartfelt Creations - Swinging Ornament

Hi and welcome to my last post as a Heartfelt Creations Design Team member.

My journey with Heartfelt Creations over the last 6 or 7 years (I lost count) has been one of the most treasured journeys of my life. I still pinch myself in disbelief that they chose me to go on this wondrous odyssey with them. It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of this crafting family and I am eternally grateful to everyone at Heartfelt Creations. They have always made me feel like a family member, both on the Design Team and in the job I did for them behind the scenes.

It is with a heavy heart that I say farewell to Heartfelt Creations but I will always treasure my memories here. I wish everyone at HC much success and happiness on their new journeys. You have all Blessed my life!!!

My card today is created using the beautiful Holiday Ornament Collection! I still can't believe that this is the last collection they will be releasing. How lucky are we though that we have so many of their collections to create with over the coming years. The collections are timeless and I know that I will create with them eternally.

Instructions: Card size is 6 x 6”. Score and fold 12 x 6” Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper at 6” on the long side to create a tent fold card base. Cut Luxe Gold cardstock 2x to 5 7/8 x 5 7/8”. Cut sheets 8B (green) and sheet 11A (plaid) to 5 3/4 x 5 3/4” and ink the edges using Archival English Ivy ink. Trim the card front from sheet 1A to 5 1/8 x 5 1/8” and ink the edges using Vermillion ink. Using removable tape, adhere a gold mat layer, the green layer and the 5 1/8 square layer to the card front. Using the largest Circle Basics Large Die, diecut the circle from the center of the card front to create an aperture. It won’t cut through all the layers at once but the die will leave a nice impression so you can go back and cut through whatever layers didn’t cut the first time. Using the largest Eyelet Circle & Basics Small Die and the second largest Circle Basics Large Die, cut a border from Luxe Gold cardstock.

Stamp the ornament from the Noel Holiday Ornaments Cling Stamp Set on Luxe gold cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing glitter and heat set using the Heat it tool. Diecut using the coordinating die and diecut a second time from Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper. Adhere the layers together, add a gold cord to the top and adhere to the card front with hot glue in the center of the aperture. Adhere the gold, green and card front layers together and adhere to the card front. Adhere the eyelet gold border. Adhere the other gold layer behind the plaid layer and adhere to the inside of the card.

Stamp the Small and Large Festive Poinsettias on red cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing Glitter and heat set. Diecut using the coordinating dies and shape in the coordinating molds. Use the stylus to press down in the flower centers, offset two flowers and adhere together using hot glue to create two small and one medium flowers. Add a little hot glue to the flower centers add cover with Gold Gala Glitz. Stamp the image from the Holly Berry Cling Stamp set 2x on Luxe gold cardstock, cover with the WOW Embossing Glitter, heat set and diecut using the coordinating die. Use the deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to add shape to diecuts. Adhere the flowers and holly berry diecuts to the bottom left of the card front.

Stamp the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the Christmas Lantern Cling Stamp set on Luxe gold cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Metallic Gold Sparkle Embossing glitter and heat set using the Heat it tool. Diecut using the coordinating die and then diecut 3 more times and adhere the layers together to create dimension. Adhere to the top of the card using dries clear adhesive.

Heartfelt Creations - Golden Christmas Shadow Box

 Hi and welcome!

Today I have a shadow box card to share with you. This is one of my favorite fun fold cards to create. Once again I've used the gorgeous Holiday Ornament Collection for this project.

Instructions: Card size is 7 x 5”. Score and fold 10 x 7” white cardstock at 5” on the long side to create card base. Cut Luxe Gold cardstock 2x to 6 7/8 x 4 7/8”. Cut Holiday Ornament Paper Collection sheet 3A 2x to 6 3/4 x 4 3/4”, ink the edges with Leaf Green ink, stamp the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the Festive Berry & Birdies Cling Stamp set using Archival Vermilion ink on one of the designer papers, adhere it to a Luxe Gold layer and adhere to the inside of the card. Adhere the other designer paper to the other gold mat layer and adhere to the card front. Cut two tags from the paper collection using the smaller Tickets and Tags Die, ink the edges with Leaf Green ink and adhere to Luxe Gold cardstock tags cut using the larger tag die. Punch the holes in the tags, diecut the reinforcements for the holes from gold using the same die set, adhere the reinforcements to the tags and add Red satin cord. Trim a little off the bottom of the tags and adhere them to the right side of the card front as shown.

Create a 5 x 5” shadow box. Score a 7 x 11 1/2” piece of Deluxe Flower Shaping Paper on the short side at 1/2”, 1”, 6” and 6 1/2”. Score the long side at 1/2”, 1”, 6” and 6 1/2”. Trim the right top and bottom score lines off up to the first vertical score line, using scissors to cut tabs. (See sample on my blog.) Cut paper from the paper collection sheet 8B 1x to 4 7/8 x 4 7 /8”, 4x to 3/8 x 4 7/8” and ink the edges with Leaf Green ink. Using removable tape, temporarily adhere the 4 7/8 x 4 7/8” designer paper to the front of the shadow box. Using the Cut Mat Create 2A die, cut the aperture in both the card front and the designer paper at the same time. Adhere the designer papers to the box using dries clear adhesive prior to assembling. Cut a 4 7/8 x 4 7/8” piece from the paper collection sheet 10A and adhere to the inside of the box. Finish folding at all score lines and adhere to form the shadow box. Adhere the shadow box to the left side of the card front using dries clear adhesive.

Stamp the images from the Sparkling Holiday Ornaments cling stamp set on white cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with Ranger Super Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder, heat set using the Heat It tool, color using Stampin Blends markers and diecut using the coordinating dies. Diecut a second time from white cardstock and adhere to the back of the stamped images for stability. Spray the images with Imagine Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray – Sparkle and let dry. Adhere the ornament images to the shadow box as pictured using dries clear adhesive and dimensional dots.

Add a little hot glue to the flower centers and cover with Gold Gala Glitz. Stamp the holly leaf image from the Small Festive Poinsettia Cling Stamp set on Luxe gold cardstock, cover with the WOW Embossing Glitter, heat set and diecut using the coordinating die. Use the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit to add shape to diecuts.

Adhere the flowers and leaves to the shadow box. Randomly sponge the shadow box, ornaments, tags, inside of card, flowers and leaves with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Magic Glitter powder.

Heartfelt Creations - Debuting the Holiday Ornament Collection

Hi and welcome!

Today we're debuting the beautiful Holiday Ornament Collection.

"Do you love creating holiday cards with iconic decorative images, but don’t seem to have enough time to create elegant Christmas cards? Creating is made easy with the Holiday Ornament Collection. Whether you’re wanting to create an elegant Christmas card featuring an array of ornaments from large to small, with exquisite detail and design, you can create so much with this!"

Instructions: Card size is 4 x 6”. Score and fold 8 1/2 x 5” white cardstock at 4 1/4” on the long side. Using the Large Holiday Ornament Die, cut a shaped card base. I placed the top of the die about 1” over the fold to keep the fold intact. Score and fold the ornament at 2 1/4” to form the easel. Diecut the full ornament two more times, once from white cardstock and once from the Holiday Ornament Collection sheet 6B. Adhere the two together and adhere to the bottom portion of the folded easel. Stamp the Large Holiday Ornament on Luxe Gold cardstock 2x using VersaMark ink, cover with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder and heat set using the Heat It tool. Diecut the full ornament image using the coordinating two dies and diecut just the center star from the second image. Adhere the diecuts to the card front as shown with dries clear adhesive and a dimensional dot for the star.

Stamp the ornament 2x on sheet 6B using VersaMark ink, cover with Ranger Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder and heat set using the Heat It tool. Diecut and trim to fit the inside of the card. Adhere using dries clear adhesive.

Stamp the ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment from the Christmas Lantern Cling Stamp on white cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Primary Apple Red Superfine Embossing Powder and heat set. Diecut using the coordinating die. Cut 4 more times from white cardstock and adhere the layers together. Adhere to the inside of the card as shown to create the easel stop.

Stamp the poinsettias and holly leaves from the Poinsettia & Holly Clusters Cling Stamp set on Real Red and Garden Green cardstock using Real Red and Garden Green ink, diecut using the coordinating dies and shape using the coordinating mold. Using a stylus from the Deluxe Flower Shaping Kit, cup the centers and adhere two flowers together and one holly using dries clear adhesive to create the poinsettias. Using a paint brush, add diluted dries clear adhesive to the flowers and leaves and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear glitter. Add Heart of Gold Prills to the flower centers and adhere the flowers to the card front as shown using hot glue.

Using red satin cord, make a small bow and adhere to the top of the ornament.
