Purple Columbine - Elizabeth Craft Designs

 Hi and Welcome!

Yay! Today is the release day of the amazing Bloom Wildly Collection designed by Els Van de burgt and Liz Gaze. I love all of these gorgeous wild flowers and the first one I used is the Columbine. This is such a bold and beautiful flower and really made my card pop. The new stitched oval dies enabled me to create a fantastic frame for my flowers.

Create a 5 x 7" white card base. Diecut white cardstock using the largest stitched rectangle. Diecut Evening Rose cardstock using the next size stitched rectangle, ink the edges and adhere to the card base. Create a frame using the new Stitched Oval dies - diecut white cardstock using the 3rd largest stitched oval and the 2nd smallest stitched oval dies, then cut white cardstock using the 3rd largest and 3rd smallest dies. Finally, diecut white cardstock using the 3rd largest and 4th largest dies. Adhere the diecuts together using dimensional tape to create the frame and then adhere to the card front using dimensional tape.

Stamp, diecut, color and shape the Columbine flowers, buds and leaves. Assemble the flowers and adhere around the bottom and sides of the oval frame.
Stamp the butterfly on vellum using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Powder, and heat set. Diecut using the coordinating die and color the back. Diecut again from white cardstock, color, adhere the vellum to the cardstock and shape. Adhere to top right. Stamp the sentiment on white cardstock, diecut using the die from the Rectangle Gift box. Adhere to the left center of the frame using glue and dimensional dots.
I love the dimension of this oval frame.
Diecut designer cardstock using the second largest stitched rectangle die, ink the edges, stamp the sentiment and adhere to the inside of the card. Diecut and color greenery and adhere as shown.

Birthday Floral - Elizabeth Craft Designs

 Hi and Welcome!

Here's a pretty floral bouquet for a special someone's birthday.

The beautiful dahlia by Els Van de Burgt and Liz Gaze can be shaped in so many different ways. Angelica Turner's pretty vase and greenery are the perfect vessel and accompaniment for the elegant flowers and Devid Roodenburg's designer paper creates a wonderful background for all this beauty.

Create a 5 x 7" cream card base. Cut the largest stitched rectangle die from cream cardstock and the second largest stitched rectangle from designer paper, adhere the two together and adhere to card front. Diecut the solid vase and the decorative vase from cream cardstock. Cover the decorative diecut with VersaMark, sprinkle with Aged Ivory embossing powder and heat set. Adhere the two vases together, lightly shape and adhere to the card front using glue and dimensional dots.

Diecut, color and shape the flowers and greenery. Assemble the flowers and add stamens to the flower centers. Create a pretty arrangement in the vase.
Color a piece of white cardstock using distress oxide ink, diecut using the tag from the stitched rectangle set, stamp the sentiment using VersaMark ink, cover with Aged Ivory embossing powder and heat set. Add a satin cord bow and adhere to the vase using glue and dimensional dots.

Shaped Fun Fold - Elizabeth Craft Designs

 Hi and Welcome!

Todays card is a flower pot fun fold. I used the beautiful Dahlia die to create my pretty sunflowers. Thank you to Els Van de Burgt, Liz Gaze and Angelica Turner for all of the beautiful designs that enabled me to put together this card.

This pretty flower pot card was a lot of fun to make.

Cut a piece of terracotta colored cardstock 8 1/2 x 4". Score at 3 1/2 and 7" and fold as shown.
Mark at 1/2" in on both sides of the bottom, place in trimmer and cut up at an angle from the 1/2" mark om the bottom to the top fold. Repeat on the other side. This gives you the flower pot shape.
Use a decorative punch on the top flap and ink all of the edges.
Add 1/8" tape to both sides if the flower pot to close it. Note: the top remains open.
Cut the decorative die from the Delicate Fancy Purse from terracotta cardstock. Adhere 2 together and set aside. Adhere the third one to the front of the flower pot under the top flap.

Adding the dimensional dots or squares under the flap gives it more dimension.

Cut terracotta cardstock 1 x 7" and score at 2", 3", 4" and 6". Add glue to the 1" end and adhere to the other end which will form a triangle. Fold in the middle and adhere this stand to the back of the flower pot card base.

Love how this works.

Cut terracotta cardstock 3 1/2 x 3 1/2". Measure 1/2" in on both sides of the bottom and use a trimmer to cut at an angle from the 1/2 mark up to the corner on both sides. Cut cream cardstock 3 x 3" and cut at an angle the same way. Stamp a sentiment on the cream cardstock and adhere the two together. Adhere the other decorative diecut to the top of the sentiment as shown.
(Important! Just add a thin line of glue to the top of the flower pot shape because you wnat the decorative die to hang over when inserted.)

Diecut a circle to adhere to the back of the decorative die for support. This will also help to hide the glue on the back of the flowers.
The card measures 5 x 7" with the flowers.
A view of the back when its all together.
Diecut, color and shape the flowers and leaves. Spray with Imagine Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray - Sparkle. Assemble the flowers, add brown beads to the flower centers and adhere to the decorative die using hot glue.
Stamp "For You" on cream cardstock and diecut using a die from the Pocket Page Inserts 1. Ink the edges, Add a string bow and tuck in under the flowers.
Add an addition piece of cream cardstock on the back to add a personal message.
