Sweet 16 Roses - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi and Welcome!

My granddaughter's BFF turned Sweet 16 this past weekend and I wanted to make her a special card. Her favorite color is blue and I love how the blue Bohemian Roses by Angelica Turner made this shabby chic card come together. BTW, she loved the card.

Create a 5 x 7" cream card base. Cut a blue panel from Evening Rose cardstock 5 x 7" and a lighter panel from the same collection 4 3/4 x 6 3/4". Distress all the edges, adhere the panels together and then to the card front. Add a piece of lace to the left side of the card.

Cover a small frame with VersaMark ink, sprinkle with Aged Ivory embossing powder, heat set and adhere to the top right. Add the numbers to the center of the frame.
Stamp the sentiment on the designer paper with VersaMark, cover with the embossing powder, heat set, distress the edges and adhere to the bottom right using dimensional tape.
Diecut, color and shape the roses, assemble and adhere to the card front using hot glue. Cut leaves from Fern and Greenery, heat emboss a few using Aged Ivory embossing powder, shape the greenery and add to the floral cluster. Add a few blue sequins to finish the card front.

Cut two panels from the Evening Rose cardstock 5 x 7" and 4 3/4 x 6 3/4", distress the edges and adhere to the inside of the card.
