Heartfelt Creations - Infused Butterfly Background

Today's card is a fun and easy way to make a quick card with a wow factor.

Instructions: Card size is 7 x 5”. Score and fold 10 x 7” white cardstock at 5” on the long side. Cut two pieces of Luxe Gold Cardstock 6 7/8” x 4 7/8”. Cut one piece of Floral Butterfly Paper Collection, Sheet 8B, 6 3/4 x 4 3/4”.

On 7 1/2 x 5 1/2” white cardstock, stamp the five butterflies from the Small Floral Butterfly Cling Stamp Set randomly using VersaMark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set using Heat It Tool. Stamp the butterfly from the Delightful Daffodil & Butterfly Cling Stamp Set and the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from Special Birthday Sentiments Cling Stamp Set on 4 x 5” white cardstock using VersaMark ink, sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set using Heat It Tool. Sprinkle the Violetta and Magenta Infusions on both pieces of cardstock, spritz with water until desired color is achieved and dry using the Heat It Tool.

Trim the 7 1/2 x 5 1/2” infusion colored cardstock to 6 3/4 x 4 3/4”, adhere to one of the 6 7/8 x 4 7/8” Luxe Gold Cardstock and adhere to the card front using dimensional tape. Diecut the stamped butterfly from the 4 x 5” infusion colored cardstock. Diecut the butterfly again from Luxe Gold Cardstock. Diecut the butterfly overlay from Luxe Gold Cardstock, lightly shape and adhere the three layers together using dries clear adhesive. Adhere to the card front using dimensional dots. Diecut the infusion colored sentiment using the banner die from the Arrows and Banner Die set. Using the same die, cut Luxe Gold Cardstock mat layer. Adhere together, slightly offset, using dries clear adhesive and adhere to the card front using dimensional tape.

Ink the edges of the 6 3/4 x 4 3/4” designer paper using Majestic Violet ink, adhere to the other 6 7/8 x 4 7/8” Luxe Gold Cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card. Stamp the ‘Have a Wonderful Birthday’ sentiment using Majestic Violet ink on the journal block from sheet 3A from the Floral Butterfly Paper Collection, diecut using the Album and Tags Accents Die and adhere to the inside of the card.
