My card is a fun fold that packs a punch with the new Floral Sentiment.
Instructions: Fun fold card size is 5 x 7”. I was inspired by this card and adjusted the measurements to fit my needs. Score and fold Melon Mambo cardstock at 1 1/2” (mountain fold) 3” (valley fold) 4 1/2” (mountain fold) and 6” (valley fold). Use the bone folder to burnish the folds well. Cut sheet 5A from the Floral Sentiments Paper Collection I each from the right and left borders at 1 and 1/4 x 6 3/4” and the top center at 4 3/4 x 6 3/4” and ink the edges using Melon Mambo ink. Adhere the larger piece to the inside of the card and the two floral strips to the front of the two mountain fold panels. Cut Melon Mambo cardstock to 3 3/4 x 5” and a piece of white cardstock 3 1/2 x 4 3/4”. Stamp the ‘Right next door or miles apart, friends are always close in Heart’ sentiment from the Friendship Sentiments Cling Stamp Set on the white cardstock using Melon mambo and Polished Pink inks. Cut a piece of the designer paper 3 1/2 x 3/4”, ink the edges and adhere to the white cardstock as shown then adhere to the inside of the card. Cut another Melon mambo piece 8 x 5 1/4”, score and fold at 4” on the long side. Cut white cardstock 3 3/4 x 5”, dry emboss using a textured embossing folder and adhere to the front of the folded colored cardstock. (The fold will be on the right), flip it over and adhere a piece of 3 1/2 x 4 3/4” white cardstock stamped with the ‘For my Friend’ sentiment from the Friend Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set using Melon Mambo and Polished Pink inks. Open the panel and add double sided tape to the right and left inside edges. Center this piece over the inside piece, remove the tape backing on the left side and fold the left side of the inside mountain fold over the panel and adhere. Remove the backing tape from the right side, fold over to the front and adhere to the floral designer paper.
Stamp the Friend Floral Sentiment Cling Stamp Set on Heavy white cardstock 2x Using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Use just the outside die to cut the first one. Use the outside die and the inside die to cut the second one and color using Stampin Blend markers – Melon Mambo, Polished Pink and Granny Apple Green. Bend up the edges of the flowers of the stamped image to give a little dimension. Cut the frame 5x more from white cardstock and adhere together to create a dimensional piece. Adhere the stamped image on top using dries clear adhesive. Color in the lettering on the full diecut then sponge both the full diecut and the frame with dries clear adhesive and cover with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear glitter. When dry, adhere the frame to the full diecut and adhere to the embossed white cardstock.
To finish the card, add some extra sparkle by sponging the designer paper randomly with dries clear adhesive and sprinkling with crystal clear glitter, add go green prills to the flower centers.
