Card size is 6 x 6”. Score and fold 12 x 6” white cardstock at 6” on the long side to create a tent fold card base. Cut candy cane paper from the Candy Cane Cottage Paper Collection 2x 5 7/8 x 5 7/8” and white cardstock 5 1/2 x 5 1/2”. Ink the edges of one if he candy cane squares and adhere to the inside of the card. Using small pieces of removable tape, temporarily adhere the other candy cane and the white layers together.Using the square die from Cut Mat Create 2B, cut an aperture in the center. Remove the tape and, using an embossing folder (I chose a woodgrain design) emboss the white layer. Ink the edges of both layers using Real Red ink and adhere together. Surround the aperture on the back side using dimensional adhesive. Add more dimensional tape around the edges of the mat layers.

Choose paper from the collection for the window scene, cut to 5 x 5” put dimensional dots in all four corners on the top of the scene and adhere to the dimensional tape on the back of the mat layers with the scene showing through the aperture. (It should fit in between the dimensional tape that’s on the edges.) Adhere the mat layers to the card base using dimensional tape. Add Crystal Ultrafine Transparent Glitterusing dries clear adhesive to some of the designs on the window scene. When dry, sprinkle some course glitter that looks like snow into the aperture as shaker material. Using the Cut Mat Create 2A die, cut clear cardstock and adhere to the top of the aperture using dries clear adhesive.

Stamp the large candy canes x4 from Season of Glee Cling Stamp Set on white cardstock using real red ink and diecut using coordinating die. All four candy canes should be facing the same way, so they have to be stamped and diecut one at a time. Diecut the candy cane again x12 from plain white cardstock and adhere three to each candy cane to create a stronger diecut. Spritz the four candy canes with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Spritz – Sparkle. When dry, adhere the candy canes together around the shaker scene to create a frame.

Stamp the Christmas poinsettias on Real Red cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Stamp the holly leaves on Garden Green cardstock using VersaMark ink, cover with WOW Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter and heat set using the Heat It Tool. Place the poinsettias and holly leaves face down in the 3D Christmas Poinsettia Shaping Mold, spritz with water and run through the diecutting machine to shape. Use the Deluxe Flower Shaping kit to finish shaping. Adhere two petals together to create flowers. Sponge the poinsettias and holly leaves with dries clear adhesive and sprinkle with Rajni Chawla’s Crystal Clear. Add silver glass to the flower centers.

Adhere the poinsettias and holly to the bottom right of the candy cane frame. Cut a sentiment from the paper collection and adhere with dimensional tape to the card above the shaker window.

I just love shaker cards and have been doing some of my own lately. This is extremely cute and I love the shaker medium you used! I love to create this from items in my stash instead of just using sequins on their own. Again a very creative card my friend!
